Like the tips of my fingers, the tips of my eyes can never be touched without concentration. By touching the images slowly and gropingly I begin to relate to them in a new way. It is no longer a thing of the past, a moment in time. And so what has been around me, beyond time and place, becomes new parts, assembled by fantasies of other worlds, by the adventurous spirit in the corner of my mind, Like time travel or planetary travel, at some point it begins to weave a new world. Within it, the vase in my childhood home, the scent of the city’s sea, even brief stays during travels, and the dog of a friend who lives far away- all appear as tiny points of light.
